Upper Crust


Join CrustList, the Upper Crust mailing list, for updates on the latest Upper Crust news and information about changes to this site. There are three versions of this list - please read the descriptions that follow so you'll know which one is right for you.

  • Regular CrustList: In addition to receiving the news updates, you can also exchange messages about the Crust with your fellow peasants. This is probably similar to other mailing lists you might be on. Please note that this list used to be moderated, but now it is not. This means that any list subscriber has the ability to post to the list at any time, which means there could sometimes be a lot of messages and/or messages that may not directly pertain to the Upper Crust. If all you want are periodic Crust updates then you're better off subscribing to Crust-announce; see the description below.
  • CrustList-Digest: Although the traffic is very low -- rarely more than a message or two per day -- there is also a digest version of CrustList, which combines multiple messages into one single e-mail. Choose this option if you'd prefer not to receive each message as it is sent to the list.
  • Crust-announce: If you'd rather just get the news updates without being disturbed by the idle chatter of the masses prattling on and on and on, this is the list for you. It's just the news updates, and no other messages.


To subscribe or unsubscribe, just fill out the form below. You can unsubscribe from one version of the list and subscribe from another by selecting options in both the subscribe and unsubscribe sections. If you'd prefer to subscribe via e-mail you'll find instructions on how to do so here. Note that the 'who' command has been disabled on this list, meaning that your e-mail address will not be visible to other list members unless you post a message.

Note:   When you click the Subscribe button below, a confirmation e-mail will be sent directly to the address you typed in the box above. That message will let the person at that address (and it better be you!) know that this form has been used to subscribe him or her to CrustList. A second message will be sent to that address once the list software processes your request.

   




To subscribe to CrustList via e-mail, just send an e-mail to majordomo@xnet2.com. In the body of your message, type:

If you want to subscribe to the digest version of CrustList, type:

subscribe crustlist-digest


If you just want news and updates without the discussion, then type:

subscribe crust-announce


You should receive a confirmation message shortly after sending your subscribe message. Note that the 'who' command has been disabled on this list, meaning that your e-mail address will not be visible to other list members unless you post a message.
